Two youths assaulted by a gang at Yekkur

Mangalore, Jul 22, 2013: Two youths were pulled out of a moving bus and assaulted near Yekkur on July 22, Monday.

The injured youths Moosa Mirshad (19) and Ramshid (19), residents of Hosangady were on their way to their tutorials in Mangalore traveling by bus ‘Anjaneya’ route no. 43.

The incident is said to be the result of Kasargod protest staged for Facebook comment against Prophet Mohammed.

The duo was followed by 10 persons, who stopped the bus and assaulted them with rods and wickets.

The assaulters even followed their auto while on their way to tutorial, but later their classmates shifted them to Wenlock hospital.

Mangalore rural police station officials have registered the case.
